2. Data Processing Overview
This website is a personal portfolio and blog. We process as little personal data as possible.
2.1 Hosting
This website is hosted on GitHub Pages. When you visit, GitHub may process your IP address and technical metadata as part of delivering the page. See GitHub’s privacy statement for details.
Legal basis: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO (legitimate interest in providing the website).
2.2 Analytics
We use Umami Analytics (self-hosted) in cookieless mode. Umami does not use cookies, does not store your IP address, and does not collect personally identifiable information. It records:
- Page views (anonymized)
- Referrer URL
- Browser and device type
- Country (derived from IP, IP itself is not stored)
Legal basis: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO (legitimate interest in understanding website usage).
2.3 Contact via Email
If you contact us via email, we store your email address and message content to process your inquiry. This data is deleted once the inquiry is resolved, unless legal retention obligations apply.
Legal basis: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO (legitimate interest).
2.4 Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address on our self-hosted Listmonk instance (hosted in Germany). We use double opt-in — you must confirm your subscription via email before receiving any newsletters.
Data processed:
- Email address
- Subscription date and confirmation status
Your email is used solely for sending occasional newsletter updates. We do not share it with third parties. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email, or by contacting us at inquiry@leinss.xyz.
Legal basis: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO (consent via double opt-in).
2.5 Local Storage
This website stores your theme preference (light/dark mode) in your browser’s localStorage. This is purely functional, does not leave your device, and is not transmitted to any server.
3. Cookies
This website does not use cookies. No cookie consent banner is required (TDDDG / ePrivacy Directive).
4. No Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties, except as required for hosting (GitHub Pages) and as described above.
