lAIngTutor is a Thai immersion tutor for Android and the web. You give it Thai text — from the built-in library, by pasting it, or from a web link — and it returns a sentence-by-sentence, word-for-word breakdown with a natural translation, paced to your level. This policy explains exactly what data lAIngTutor processes, where it goes, and the choices you have. It applies to the lAIngTutor mobile app and web app.

The short version

• lAIngTutor has no account and no server of ours. Your settings and content stay on your device; we do not receive or store them.
• The AI can run three ways, your choice: fully on-device (nothing leaves your phone), on your own LAN server, or in the cloud. You pick this in Settings → AI model.
• There are no ads, no third-party trackers, and no analytics. We do not sell your data.

What data we process

On-device settings and content. Your chosen AI backend, your level, and — only if you use the cloud backend — the API key you enter are stored on your device (secure storage on mobile, the browser’s local storage on web). This never leaves your device and is never sent to us.

The text you read. To produce a breakdown, the Thai text you provide (a library item, text you paste, or text extracted from a link you open) is sent to the AI backend you have selected:

• On-device — the model runs locally on your phone. Your text is processed entirely on the device and is not transmitted anywhere.
• LAN server — your text is sent to a server you run on your own network (e.g. LM Studio, llama.cpp, or Ollama). It stays within your own infrastructure.
• Cloud — your text is sent to the cloud model provider you configured (by default Anthropic) using your own API key, to produce the response. Once your text reaches that provider, their privacy policy applies.

Opening a link. If you paste a web URL, the app fetches that page in order to extract its text for the breakdown. It contacts only the address you provide.

Text-to-speech. When you tap a word or sentence to hear it, speech is generated by your device’s built-in text-to-speech — on-device, with no audio sent to us.

What we do not do

• We do not operate any account system or server that stores your data.
• We do not run advertising or third-party ad/tracking SDKs.
• We do not collect analytics, and we do not profile you across apps or websites.
• We do not sell or rent your data.

Data location & retention

Everything the app stores lives on your device and remains until you clear it or uninstall the app — uninstalling removes it. If you use the cloud backend, the text you send to the model provider is handled by that provider under their own policy and retention rules.

Your choices

• Choose your AI backend (including fully offline on-device) in Settings → AI model.
• Remove your cloud API key at any time in Settings; leave the field empty to clear it.
• Erase all app data by uninstalling the app (mobile) or clearing site data (web).

Children

lAIngTutor is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age required by your local law.

Your rights (GDPR)

Because lAIngTutor keeps your data on your own device and we hold none of it, there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on our servers. You retain the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port personal data, and to object to processing (Arts. 15–21 GDPR). For any question, contact inquiry@leinss.xyz. Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL with a new date.
